TTMA's upcoming Events

April event

CSUN Event TTMA (2).png

As the Travel & Tourism industry emerged from COVID shutdowns, many of our visitor serving business reported – and data reflected - inadequate trained staffing. A key question was how could we as industry leaders respond to this issue?

With emerging visibility among academics in hospitality and tourism, TTMA looked to fulfilling a long-term goal of connecting with and supporting educational institutions, recognizing their core mission to supply our next generation of valued employees.

In 2023, TTMA and CSUN formed a partnership, first by offering scholarships to deserving students enrolled in CSUN’s Recreation & Tourism Management (RTM) program.  In 2024, we continued the scholarship, and as well, held an informative interactive luncheon program at CSUN to facilitate interchange between students – who want to know more about working in the industry - and TTMA members who may want to know more about tourism students.

TTMA is pleased to be holding another luncheon event at CSUN. We are excited to feature industry legend, Lee Zeidman, President of LA Live, himself a CSUN graduate, who will speak about his story and lessons for growth and success in the industry.  Then we will hold round-tables for interactional small group discussions by sector (e.g., attractions, media, hospitality, etc.), facilitated by TTMA professionals for CSUN students.

Please support this most worthwhile and engaging event, both as an attendee and industry representative!  TTMA is very proud of this relationship; with your attendance and support we can continue to be involved and grow this unique and important relationship!

A spECIAL THANK YOU TO OUR PARTNERs
